The Grammar Series

Joas Nebe's installation "The Grammar Series/Gangland" utilizes found footage animated to visualize abstract concepts, such as grammatical categories. Animated eyes of a model are prominently displayed on five adjacent screens, creating a stationary yet dynamic composition. The eyes, magnified and moving from left to right and back, evoke a sense of surrealism and intensity, offering viewers a unique exploration of visual storytelling through animated imagery.
